Beltane
Beltane marks the first day of summer. It means “bright fire” in Celtic and refers to the god Belenus, who protected the cattle of ancient Celtic pagans and offered healing and light. During Beltane, believers celebrate the union of the masculine and feminine energies and when the god and goddess are equal in power.
