Declaration of the Báb
The Báb is seen as the forerunner of Baha’u’llah to members of the Baha’i faith, and the day of the Declaration of the Báb is the celebration of the day when he made himself known. He is considered a messenger of God who revealed the way for the Baha’u’llah, and his name means “gate” or “door,” which emphasizes his role as the portal through which God’s revelations would enter.
