In the morning, worshippers gather in mosques and chant Allahu Akbar, or God is great. They thank God for his blessings, especially food, and chant, 'Allah! Lord! Send down to us a laden table from the heavens that it may be a feast for us, the first and the last of us, and a sign from you.' Worshippers believe that fasting brings home the awareness of the blessing of food. Believers will feast with friends and family on traditional foods.
Avoid scheduling important events or activities on April 21. Expect that observers will not attend meetings or communicate on that day.
