Eric Mokube, joined the Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs as OVPDEMA Leadership Fellow from the University of Oregon, where he was the chief of staff/director of finance and administration to the Division of Equity and Inclusion (DEI). In that role, he supported the vice president by providing strategic leadership for DEI and all its units as well as aligning the budget to the strategic plan. Mokube has over 15 years of successful progressive performance in executive administration, leadership, strategic planning, evaluation and assessment from higher education institutions, private business, nonprofit, and international organizations around the world.

In his new role as OVPDEMA Leadership Fellow, Mokube leads efforts in reviewing and implementing best practices and processes for the Administrative Services and other OVPDEMA units. He also works with the vice president to align OVPDEMA’s budget to the bicentennial strategic plan as well as reviewing and implementing best practices. As the Leadership Fellow, Mokube works directly with the vice president to implement new diversity and inclusive initiatives for IU.

Mokube has an MBA in International Economics and a Ph.D., in International Studies with a focus on Economic Development from Clark Atlanta University.
