The Academic Support Center (ASC) uses a hybrid model for evening tutoring (Sunday through Thursday from 7 to 11 p.m.) for the spring 2022 semester, with in-person and online services. You can find the Zoom link for the ASC's evening tutoring on their website. For more information about the program or other academic support options, email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a response within 24-36 hours. To learn more, please visit the ASC's website.
The Math Learning Center (MLC) offers tutoring services on a walk-in basis—no appointment is necessary. Learn more about the MLC.
The Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) offers small group peer-led study sessions for multiple courses each semester. The sessions are led by an undergraduate student who excelled in the course previously, has been selected and trained for the position, and attends the class again, serving as an assistant to the instructor. For more information, please visit the PASS website.
Writing Tutorial Services (WTS) offers students both in-person and online appointments for any phase of the writing process—from brainstorming to revising the final draft. When you visit WTS, you'll find a tutor who is a sympathetic and helpful reader of your prose.
They can help you:
- Develop strong thesis statements
- Develop effective outlines
- Find and integrate credible sources
- Identify patterns of error and fix these problems on your own
- Understand and avoid plagiarism
- Write effective answers to essay exam questions
Writing Tutorial Services offers online writing consultations through Zoom. These consultations help students develop strong thesis statements and effective outlines and find and integrate credible sources. Schedule an appointment with WTS.
