IMU Art Collection Continues to Diversify with 3 New Paintings Added
An initiative to broaden the Indiana Memorial Union’s art collection with contemporary works that are more representative of the current Indiana University Bloomington population has resulted in the installation of three new paintings, all created by Black artists.
Annual Powwow Canceled
Indiana University’s 2024 Traditional Powwow, customarily scheduled for the first weekend of April, has been canceled this year as IU and the extended community prepare to participate in Solar Eclipse 2024.
2024 Building Bridges Awardees Announced
The Building Bridges Award recognizes individuals and organizations that demonstrate Dr. King’s vision, spirit, and leadership in ways both big and small at IU and within communities across Indiana. One student and one additional community member or organization from each campus and IU’s School of Medicine were recognized.
IDEAL Conference
Presented by Indiana University, in partnership with the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE), the conference provides a regional forum for critical exchange of resources, best practices, and research on the social and political landscape of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in higher education.
