Description: Bias and free speech incidents are increasing, often impacting the sense of community and safety on campus. The University of Michigan Housing engaged in a year-long study of its annual required training for professional and undergraduate staff. This session provided an overview of U-M's training program and the research results on the training's efficacy. Results indicated increased knowledge, confidence, and skills, with some unintended consequences in other areas of professional development and competencies.
